Looking for a way you can get involved in the work for peace and justice? ICPJ has ways you can plug in. Whether you can give one hour a month or three hours a week, you can make a difference in supporting our work for peace with justice.
CALL LEADER: ICPJ has runs a congregation-based phone tree. It is a powerful way to mobilize peace-minded people of faith to make their voice heard in Washington. We are looking for people to organize phone trees in their own congregations.
NEWSLETTER DISTRIBUTION: Every 2 months, we send the ICPJ print newsletter to over 2,000 homes and offices in Washtenaw County. You can help our newsletter reach more people by dropping it off at libraries, bookstores, and congregations around town.
THANK-YOU WRITER: Our donors are valuable to us, and you could make sure they get the thanks they deserve by helping ICPJ send a hand-written thank-you for their gifts.
Office Volunteer: Help the ICPJ Staff stay on top of phone calls, filing, and data entry as an office volunteer.
Outreach Coordinator: Help strengthen ICPJ's ties to the community by coordinating outreach efforts with congregations and community groups.
Publicity Volunteer: You can make sure that the word gets out about all the great events ICPJ organizes. From hanging flyers to getting notices.
Stampmaster: Here at ICPJ, we hand-stamp our return addresses on our envelopes. That way we have more money for programming and less money goes to the print shop. You can help! We'll provide the envelopes, a stamp, and an ink pad; you provide the labor. You can even bring them home to work on.
These are just a few ideas to get your brain started. Learn more about these and other volunteer opportunities by calling 734-663-1870 or emailing info@icpj.net.
