Introducing Grace Kotre
I am please to introduce the newest addition to the ICPJ staff, Grace Kotre, who will now serve as our program coordinator.
Grace brings to ICPJ tremendous community organizing and social justice experience.
We were particularly excited to see her experience as co-leader for Students Taking Action Now: Darfur (STAND) and co-chair of the Social Welfare Action Alliance. From organizing campus-wide events to bring attention to Darfur to coordinating actions in response to the Jena 6 case, Grace has shown that she is both deeply committed to social justice and that she has the skills necessary to mobilize her community for action.
Grace will serve the Racial and Economic Justice Task Force, coordinate the CROP Hunger Walk, and serve the ad-hoc Common Ground for Peace in Israel/Palestine Committee. She will also work on strengthening our ties to our members, volunteers, and community partners.
Grace’s first event will be the “Sacred Texts and the Heart of Peace” panel on January 10. Please join us for this event and take this opportunity to meet Grace.
