Good news! Friends Committee on National Legisltation reports:

Good news! A key subcommittee of the House Armed Services Committee zeroed out funding for the new nuclear bomb plant intended as a first step toward a $150 billion project to rebuild the nation’s nuclear arsenal.

The money could still be added back in, though . Your members of Congress still need a reminder that you oppose the new bomb plant.

I have never been able to understand how we can expect others not to seek nuclear weapons when we continue to build more. I strongly oppose any proliferation of nuclear weapons by any country. It's time that we started reducing and eventually eliminating nuclear weapons. We already have enough in the world to destoy the earth many times over. Please work for disarmament with the USA taking the lead and persuading other countries to do the same.
