Miyo’s life of service is well documented in her obituary.
When I remember Miyo, I remember her helping teach children and adults how to fold origami peace cranes. She was a superb teacher, in part because of the compassion and resolve she brought to her work.

I remember working with Miyo on Come Together for Peace. Her generosity of self and spirit stand out in my memory. When we found ourselves close to the date of the event, and things weren’t quite “coming together”; Miyo would kind of sigh and say “We’ll be there, and we’ll be enough”
She was right.
