As you know hunger is a complicated problem. Since it is a complex injustice, for hunger to really be alleviated it requires that people like you take a comprehensive approach to the issue.
It is very important to raise money and collect food so that the hungry will be fed. However, it is also important to take action to ensure that people do not find themselves in a position to begin with where they are hungry. For this reason, the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice not only helps to feed the hungry, but also works to change policies and systems that create hunger.
