Poverty Can Be Beaten
A Lecture Given by the Rev. Dr. Paul Sherry
Rev. Dr. Sherry will discuss the problem of poverty, why people of faith should care about overcoming poverty, and discuss solutions to poverty with a special focus on good, fair wages. In particular, he will bring us up to speed with what is going on in states around the country that are trying to raise the minimum wage, and with what is happening at the federal level to raise the minimum wage.
