On Wednesday, July 12, we’ll have a mailing party to send out the ICPJ newsletter. We’ll meet at 10:00 a.m. in the basement of Memorial Christian Church to label and mail this piece. Come join us!

We invite you to join us for dinner, a a showing of Last Best Chance, and a discussion concerning the threat of nuclear weapons and the importance of nuclear disarmament. This film is a gripping docudrama about the threats from loose nuclear weapons and materials around the world. Last Best Chance is a wake-up call to secure and destroy nuclear weapons and materials before it’s too late.

Join us for a simple dinner, a showing of the PBS documentary, featuring the film Global Warming: The Signs and the Science, and a discussion of global warming and the global economy. This movie brings the reality of climate change to life and offers viewers a variety of ways to make a difference in their own communities.

In Ramallah a group of young folk dancers is anxiously awaiting the coming of summer when they will travel to the United States to share their culture and help Americans understand who they are and how they live.
The teens are members of the Al Raja Palestinian Folkloric Dance Troupe. They will visit congregations and special events of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), performing in Chicago, Omaha, San Francisco, San Antonio, Detroit, and other cities. Continue Reading »
